Starter crank overhaul kit: what is it for?

The starter crank overhaul kit was created to guarantee the correct ‘traction’ alignment of the starter pin and perfect oil sealing.

The correct traction of the starter pin must take place using the appropriate thickness washer in order to avoid a high play of the starter pin, which would lead to incorrect positioning, with consequent direct contact between the starter lever and crown/clutch producing wear and filings of steel inside the engine oil.
