The Red Head STRATOS DP it has a cooling capacity of 7.8% greater than the original, this is due to the 14% increase in the finned heat dissipation part.
This new project has reduced the temperature in the cylinder head bringing it even to 1.5° less than at the time when Super petrol was used; this means the total reduction of the temperature increase due to unleaded petrol, also recovering something from the old Super petrol, therefore a product that This product is a revolutionin the engine cooling system.
On this head, the horizontal 4-fins pass to 5-fins. In the center part of the cup, highest heat, the fins have a 4.6 mm thickness, while 0.5 mm thickness in the upper extreme point; in both sides the fins have a 6 mm base and end with 0.8 mm. They are so thin to allow a quick heat ejection.
The header Red STRATOS DP strong is equipped with 4 stabilizer inserts in brass. The use of these inserts allows a better sealing of the head itself as, being made of brass, they have an expansion coefficient of 19 mk while aluminum has an expansion of 23 mk; this means that while the aluminum tends to push to expand, the brass will remain stable and the head will automatically “self-tightens”.
In case of adoption of the 3 mm copper head gasket it is necessary to adopt the self-centering brass bushing set.
