The Red Head STRATOS DP has a cooling capacity 7.8% greater than the original one, this is due to the 14% increase of the finned part for heat dissipation.
This new project has reduced the temperature in the head to 1.5 ° less than with the use of Super gasoline; this results in the total removal of the temperature increase due to the unleaded gasoline and a better performance also with the old Super petrol. This product is a revolution in the engine cooling system.
On this head, the horizontal 4-fins pass to 5-fins. In the center part of the cup, highest heat, the fins have a 4.6 mm thickness, while 0.5 mm thickness in the upper extreme point; in both sides the fins have a 6 mm base and end with 0.8 mm. They are so thin to allow a quick heat ejection.
The header Red STRATOS DP strong is equipped with 4 stabilizer inserts in brass. The use of these inserts allows a better seal of the head itself as being, in brass, they have an expansion coefficient of 19 mk while aluminum has an expansion of 23 mk; this means that while the aluminum tends to push to widen, the brass will remain stable and automatically the muzzle will “self-tightens”.
In case of adoption of the 3 mm copper head gasket it is necessary to adopt the self-centering brass bushing set.
